RITA KHORI

There has to be something unique about a Catholic of Chaldean descent born in Baghdad, Iraq, and raised in Metro Detroit. Rita Khori is a fun, creative and entertaining performing artist. Rita is an accomplished actress, singer, and published poet.

One of Rita's defining moments as a performer was as a young girl when Ed McMahon gave her a "Kiss of approval" on the forehead as she was auditioning for Star Search. Rita studied the art of performing at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and has a degree in Psychology with a minor in music. Everything Rita does is performance based and artistic.

This Miss Congeniality award winner (Miss Michigan contest-2005) played a mean girl, as a series regular in the ABC original net soap "Little White Lie" (2007).  One of Rita's favorite roles was as a supporting actress in the critically acclaimed film - "Raised Alone" (2008), because it touched her in a personal way.

Rita's mother and father both passed away within two years of each other. Her mother's long and debilitating illness made Rita both vulnerable and strong, and increased her ability to relate to more varied characters and roles.

Rita's performances in television, film, modeling, and commercials show her beautiful personality and multi-faceted talent.
